In St Declan’s Community College, we have a long running tradition of supporting student Wellbeing. It has been our experience that by listening to and guiding our students to make the best decision for themselves that they can achieve their full potential. As a school community, we endeavour to provide a wide range of opportunities for our students, not only in the academic sphere but also in the extracurricular. Our social, sports and co-curricular programmes provide opportunities for each student to participate in life outside the classroom. This engagement with the non-academic helps to create a balance for the child and support their Wellbeing. This in turn supports their ability to achieve in the academic, moral, social and spiritual aspects of their lives.

In our school community, we value each individual student and recognise the contribution each one can make to school life. As a learning community, we are committed to continuously engaging with new methodologies and practices that enhance our learning and teaching. This places us in the very strong position of being able to provide methods of instruction that meet the needs of each of our students regardless of their abilities.

We are very proud that we provide each of our students with an educational experience underpinned by the values of respect, honesty and collaboration enabling them to emerge from their time with us as self-disciplined, responsible, adaptable and well-adjusted individuals capable of playing their part in an ever-changing modern society.
